My Toshiba-3109 firmware is v1.8. I've read in this forum that v3.0 is out. I have not really had a problem with any DVD's that I own or rented, however the 1 year parts warranty is expiring soon. (The local authorized service rep that I spoke with said "bring it in" and he'll fix it in a week or so).

My heart says get the latest chip, but I also believe that if it 'aint broke dont fix it. I have about 150 DVD's but only watched about 25 ('cause I work 80 hours a week).

Any suggestions?
