After reading every thing about Video Essentials, I'm pretty sure that I want to get it, but I was wondering exactly what it does and how it does it. Is it worth getting if you don't have a Dolby Digital Reciever? What kind of things does it do for the home theater system? Thanks

I actually used it today on my new dvd player with built in DD/DTS decoder's. Its a terrific tool for sound, as well as using it to configure your tv the right way. I recommend it to anyone

Video Essentials is a good tool, but the Avia Guide To Hometheater is better.I have owned both and Avia is by far better for Audio adjustments.I will give the slight edge to Video Essentials in the Video department.
