Has anyone had problems with their dvd player refusing to play current dvd movies? I have a Panasonic A120U which said Galaxy Quest was not a type of disc it would play. After 7 restarts I finally got it to run. Seems to me I remember other member comments with other brand players having the same problem. They thought it might have something to do with
extras meant for computer dvd usage.
I would really like all your experiences with this problem. Thanks

Are you sure it's only your new movies that are having problems?
The Panasonics have a history of going bad after running fine for a few months.
Here's a link to a site that describes what to look for and what your options are for the problem you might have.
I have a Toshiba 3109 and my Galaxy Quest (DTS) played fine everytime I put it in the player.

My panasonic died after about a year and a half. six months after the warranty had run out. but if it is only happening to your newer movies believe me the problem is going to get worse very shortly. be pre pared to pay up to $180 in repairs or invest in a new player.
