I have a JVC-701 DVD player with built in AC-3 Decoder. So I need a _________ type receiver.

Could someone give me an example of how their DVD Player with a decoder works with their surround sound system?

Many thanks for any help.

Since your dvd player has a decoder built in, you need a Dolby Digitial ready receiver. Honestly, if you are going to spend some money, you might as well get a nice receiver with DD and DTS built in. In most cases, the decoders are much better than what's in the dvd player. I hope that helps.
