I don't know too much about hardware and I need some help with this. I'm getting a pc notebook with a s-video tv-out (no red and yellow a/v cords). My tv doesnt have a s-video jack or the red and yellow a/v jacks. I've curretly hooked up a dvd player to my tv through an rf modulator which I painstakingly found at a radio shack. It allows me to take the red and yellow cords from the dvd player to the modulator, and then run a cable cord to the tv.
My question is- is there any way I can hook up my pc notebook to this tv through some sort of modulator (not another dvd player or s-vhs vcr)? Hope this wasn't too confusing. Thanks in advance

There may be other ways to do this, but I think you need a Y/C mixer (e.g., JVC SX-s700 video switcher/YC mixer/separator (comb filter) ($449.00 at J&R Music World -- http://www.JandR.com), which will convert s-video to composite (the yellow plug) and then use your RF modulator. You may be better off buying a new television both on a cost and picture quality basis.
