I just recently got into a new house, and my living room is my HT. It is a good, square room, and it has a cubby hole on one wall.
The cubby is 8 feet tall, and around 42x42 (width & depth).
I want to put all my compnents, LDs, DVDs, and tapes here. There are 5 components to store(Reciever, DVD, LD, VCR, and Dishplayer)
So far the best I can find at http://www.roomandboard.com/rnbproduct/dept.asp?dept%5Fid=1129&mscssid=EA5VL3V133S92LQ700LHRRE0X5SW2CRF. (Great place, order a free catalog for more stuff)
Any ideas from you guys? I suck at carpentry, so that is out. I can run the wires through the wall to my TV and speakers.
And I would like to keep the price reasonable. (So no custom solid oak )
I want the storage 'thing' to have either glass doors or wood with glass doors, so I can shut out the noise from the components. This will sit near the couch and chairs, so that is a must. I can vent it through the back.
thanks,
Scott

You might want to check out http://www.salamanderdesigns.com/. Although their stuff can get pretty expensive, there is a huge selection of different pieces and you can design a really cool set up.
