Ha HA Very Good Stuff. Yes, if I was single I would be buying a new set every year. I have no trouble spending money. He He

But I am not so this set better be the one I want for several years. She still wants me to replace the bulb, LOL.

I saw a 50in 1080 Panny plasma at Costco for 1299.99 It is different then the 50in 1080 Panny plasma that Sears carries for 1799.99? Better or worse?

So, we are going in circles here.

Going to initial message, I'd say get the biggest TV you can get under $2000, that's sold in Sears or BB, that's 1080p and that's from a trusted brand: Sony, Panasonic, etc.

Or listen to us and get a projector

You need to write down and disclose the model numbers because Panasonic has different models for the same 50" screen size, and they offer different feature sets per model. Otherwise, we are comparing unknown apples.

Re: Help me pick out new T.V.

Oh sorry, the 2 Panasonic models are TC-P50S1 for 1599.99 at BB and the 50G10 for 1799.99 at Sears.

They both have 600hz. Costco has the 50PZ85U for 1299.99 does not say if 600hz though.

Re: Help me pick out new T.V.

The 85u is gorgeous and a ridiculous deal. The others are newer and have the new 600Hz sub-pixel rate, which is....um, I don't think anyone knows, actually. Theoretically it may have better motion control and contrast, but I think it was going to have those without the 600Hz thing.

I don't see how anyone would complain about $1300 for that TV.
