Just noticed last night that the volume control knob is not lit up anymore. Does anyone know if it is possible that I may have turned this off by mistake, or is it a bulb that I could easliy replace. I don't really want to have to send it off to be repaired just for this.

To my knowledge, there is no switch that gives you the option to turn the volume knob light off.

It's probably not a bulb, either, but an LED. Can you physically remove the knob by pulling it out? You might be able to see what's behind it. Otherwise, you'll probably have to open the receiver up. Either way, it's probably not a simple job, so you might just have to live with it.

I have tried pulling the knob off to see, but it doesn't want to move and I don't want to pull too hard.

I guess I will just have to live with it unless something else breaks.
