HN, if you want to try a sonotube/Shiva subwoofer, go to these two site:
HTF
HTT
for more info, either do a search, or just lurk (in the Advance forum on the HTF).
I know there's a whole page devoted to Shiva sonotube subs on the HTT site.

I've heard a lot of great things about the shiva/sonotube, i guess hsu-clone. are there any plans out there? I am curious on the costs compared to just buying an HSU. Do they normally power it with an external amp, or wire up one of those internal amps that part express sells? The main worry I would have is distortion, the db is pretty high, I wonder how musical it is.
