Question and Problem with Panasonic PT-52LCX65
Hello,
I just turned on this set today and nothing came on.
It has the Green flashing lite when it turns on but just keeps flashing, then turns itself to Red flashing and then off?
The Lamp lite flashes Red also when set Red lite is flashing and powering down?
Thanks to all who respond with Help Please
Beau

It sounds like your lamp is not working. With my projector, I occasionally have to reseat the lamp. How many hours are on the TV? It could also be dead. New lamps are probably $2-300.

Re: Question and Problem with Panasonic PT-52LCX65
The set is 4 years old and has about 6000 hours on it. Is the Bulb different from the Lamp?
Shoud I buy just the Bulb or get the housing and bulb allready put together?
Is this easy do do or shoud I get a pro to do it?
Or should I just get a new set because this could happen again?
Thanks

Re: Question and Problem with Panasonic PT-52LCX65
It should be easy to do, they are designed for people to replace the lamp themselves. Check your manual. If you don't have it, no doubt it is available on the web. Or instructions probably come with a lamp if you buy one.
Yes, it can happen again, it's like any lightbulb, doesn't last forever. 6000 is pretty damn good, I wish mine lasted that long. This should be understood by anyone with a digital projection TV, the lamp has a finite life that is very easy to reach before any other part of the TV breaks. (except a few that have LED lamps, they should last much longer)
"Bulb" may refer only to the actual bulb itself, some less scrupulous places may sell you this for less. Some people have been happy with this arrangement, but it is less likely to work out well. You'd have to take apart the assembly, and that was NOT intended by Panasonic. Leave just a tiny bit of finger grease on any glass part and you probably won't get 1000 hours next time, and it will probably explode rather than die peacefully.
"Lamp" should refer to the whole assembly. It should look like this:

Note, I have no idea what that website is like, it was just the first one I found with a pic. Price isn't bad, though.

Re: Question and Problem with Panasonic PT-52LCX65
Ok cool. Thanks for all of your information. That is a good price.
I saw it somewhere else for 100 bucks more!
The back of the set looks like I have to take the whole bottom of the back off T.V. though?
The Wife wants me to get it fixed of course.
I on the other hand want a New T.V. of course Ha Ha Ha...
Thanks Beau
