Barcodata 701 "flicker" problem

Sometimes (not always) when I use my Barcodata 701 it appears to flicker (the image moves and it becomes a little blurry).
There does not seem to be a consistency in the timing or duration of the "flicker".
I use the projector as a monitor and have it hooked up to my computer via a 15' double shielded cable. I use a Data Transfer Switch to switch between my 17" monitor and my projection screen. The "flicker" appears when I play a DVD as well as when my desktop in displayed on the screen (but not always).
Any thoughts?
