Re: looking for a portable dvd player
Bought this Nextbase 10" portable DVD player recently. Very decent picture quality and easy to hang it at the back of the headrest. It's light, especially when it has a rechargeable battery inside. All region code as well.
I got it at the amazon store. Got 2 pairs of wireless headphone with it when I purchase the player. The player is called Nextbase Click10. I learned from a coupon website that when you add both the NordiCon Wireless Headphones and the Nextbase Click10 to the shopping cart and checkout, the headphones are free!
Good luck~

Whats your price range?
I just bought the Sony DVP-FX820 on sale at Target for $150.
8" with 800 x 480 resolution.
No case or headphones, but it has a great picture.
Amazon has them for under $140..

FWIW, I was at a B&M SonyStyle store yesterday and they have the FX830 for $130. That's even cheaper than Amazon, so we bought one.
They don't have that price in the website, so that may be only in B&M stores. We got ours in the Valley Fair mall store in the Bay Area.

That's the same one I have. The sound isn't great, but I'm usually watching either with headphones on or at work with the sound off and subtitles on, so it's not a problem. Sometimes the picture can be too dark during night sequences, but overall it's a nifty little player and well worth the $150.

Re: looking for a portable dvd player
I got this one at Wal-Mart for 79 bucks...not bad really and plays really well! It's got a 7 inch screen but looks awesome!

I need to update it to a newer model...had it since 2006. I want to get the Audiovox 10.2" Slim Line player but right now I'm happy with the the Durabrand one.
