Looking for a good low price HDMI cable...any recommendations?

I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post this so sorry if I'm mistaken, but I just bought a PS3 and I need a HDMI cable to hook it up to the TV.

Any recommendations for a good low price cable?

Thanks for any help!

i am surprised that someone with Gold Edition status posted this question when a simple search would have answered it for you.

i will retract my surprise without editing my post. a search made me realize that the recommendations are all buried in threads that are not directly asking for HDMI recommendations.

if you dont frequent this section of the forum, you wouldnt know where to look.

Adding this comment as I just saw your second post...so maybe I'm not as brain dead as I thought I was Yes, I don't frequent this forum but it's OK and thanks again for your help.

They may still have it for $9 (6') at Target if not Monoprice is the way to go. Fry's has them regularly for $20. You have to go to the computer section for it. They sell the overpriced Monsters in the A/V department for $40 or more.

I just ordered three cables and some speaker wire from monoprice on 12/8. The order is being delivered tommorow. Can't beat that time table IMO.

I really like how you can get colored cables from them as well. I ordered one red and one blue HDMI cable for both HD formats.

I generally like Monoprice too. With that said, I recently picked up one of the 6' cables from Target because I needed it immediately. It was by far the best deal I could find on anything that could be picked up locally.

Same as any other cable, the bigger the better. And smaller AWG numbers means bigger cable.

I use 28AWG for runs up to 15ft and larger wire past that. I don't run the bigger cable unless needed because of the added weight/stiffness. I find the HDMI connections on most equipment to be rather "delicate". With my luck they'll break.

True. There are actually some products to try to overcome such issues. Little ties to hold up cables and whatnot. I try to use placement and appropriate lengths to avoid straining my equipment.

But they are the only ones made in the USA, if that matters to anyone.
