My Samsung LCD TV no longer chimes when turning off

My new Samsung LCD TV (4 months old) no longer plays the little melody when I turn it off. It works fine when I turn it on. The settings on the TV say I have it set to medium.

Is this something I should worry about? It's not a big deal unless this is a sign of something bad about to happen.

Thoughts?

Hmmm, I don't know how to take the silence in this thread. I'm assuming this isn't a common occurrence.

I wish I had your problem. My 2-month-old Sammy LN52A750 completely crapped out last week Wednesday and I'm STILL waiting for them to come repair it. They're waiting on the part (motherboard).

My 4 month old 46a650 still chimes when turning it on and off, so I'm no help to you at all.

Ditto, on my pop's 19A450 (?) kitchen unit.

Mine did it on shut down, but no more. I've searched online, and it's happened to others. Just not sure if I should worry.
