Something wrong with Surround Sound System
I have been using a JVC RX-6032V for about 3 years now and I am happy with it. But recently I was watching a movie and it just stopped working. It was still on and volume stayed at the same level but it seemed like it was muted, but it wasn't. I checked all of the wires and they seem normal but I switched it to Analog and it worked fine but for some reason it won't work in Digital mode and I've tried it with about 15 DVDs with no help. Is there anyway I can reset te setting, plug the wires in or do anything to make the system work on digital mode? What should I do?

You should try different hookups to troubleshoot and narrow down the problem. It could be the wire (unlikely unless you cut it in half), the receiver, or the player.
A different wire is one test. Switching from optical to digital coax is another, if your player has both. Trying another digital source (another DVDp or a cable or satellite box) is another test.

You could also start from the beginning and try the test tones and see what happens. You also don't say what dvd player you are using or how it is connected, this might help.

On a player this old, I would just replace it instead of trying to troubleshoot the problem. If the D/A converter is shot then the player is too.
