Extra Component Input Needed - Question

I just posted about a problem I'm experiencing with my HDMI input on my HDTV, but I'm also encountering a problem where I need one more component cable input. Currently, I have four inputs and they're all used by things I want to have surround sound (Two components: HD satellite and Nintendo Wii; Two HDMI inputs: XBOX 360 and PS3.) I need an input for my surround sound receiver/DVD player that I've yet to hook up. It doesn't have an HDMI input. So, I figured I'd ask a couple of questions here:

1) Does the Wii even output surround sound? If not, then I'll just unplug my receiver whenever I want to play Wii games. I may just do that anyways, if the fix for the problem is too expensive.

2) What would be the best way to fix this problem? I've heard about splitters, but they apparently aren't that great.

3) What's the cheapest solution, apart from sharing an input between the Wii and receiver.

Thanks in advance.

Sorry if I misunderstood. But, why not run both the satellite and Wii through your receiver into your television? This way, you only need use of one input on the TV.

I have a component switcher. If you don't find a soultion to your problem and have an interest in it, let me know and I no longer need it.
