I'm in the market for a new receiver to replace my Yamaha HTR-5560. I'd like it to be able to decode Dolby TrueHD and DTS HD MA. My budget is around $500 to $550. I'd like to get something other than a Yamaha as mine is way too bright. Any recommendations?

I just bought the onkyo 606 off a liscenced distributor on ebay.....used the live.com 20% off so all in all it cost me 320.......... I am completely happy with this purchase and think you sould check out the reviews on amazon for it.........

I concur on the Onkyo 606. I've had it a couple of months and couldn't be happier.

The Onkyo is the best you can get for the money.

You can even get the 805 for what you are offering if you look at refurbs and shoponkyo.com

You aren't going to find "not bright" in this price range. If your ears are so refined, you need to start saving.
