How big is the TV? What's your price range?

Oh yeah....that helps.

Here is what I'll need it for:

42" Panny plasma
Receiver
PS3

Price range....I dunno, $200-$250 for a combo stand. I'm not sure how much wall mounts are ($100ish? monoprice?) and a component rack is probably at least $150-$200?

My 42" Panny is on a wall mount from Monoprice that I paid $28 for. I bought a single glass component wall shelf from Amazon for about $40 - more than one shelf could be used vertically. I think the setup looks great (for a bedroom).

The coloring isn't the greatest in this pic, but you get the idea:

Wow...that looks nice! I would need 3 shelves (PS3, HD Box, Receiver), but still very do-able and under budget! I am trying to not totally f' up my walls, but I figure holes for my speaker mounts aren't a big deal, so adding a few more isn't bad. One of my roommates has a wall mount, and the other is going to get one soon too.

There are some multi-shelf on-wall options that look nice. You could also use more than one of the unit I have. It's very heavy and could easily handle more than one component per shelf - maybe not if one of them is a heavy receiver. I think the glass shelf looks sleek and classy.

Search Amazon for 'wall component shelf' or something similar and you'll find all kinds of options.

Cool, thanks!

I need to decide soon, hopefully tomorrow, as I'm going away for the weekend and I need to take care of this when I get back.

Here are a couple wall mounting audio racks I looked at before I decided to go a different route.

Thanks!

Ironically I found the same ones at amazon (where I'm trying to find them). They both seem like they will work.

I posted my options here: http://forum.dvdtalk.com/showthread.php?t=533427

Here is what i ended up getting:

$180 (down from $230)

It was $190 with tax (ordered online for a store pickup), and I used a $10 rewards GC to get it back to $180. I ended up with this because I wanted something sturdy, and I didn't feel like messing around with mounting the component racks. It is pretty short (which I wanted since I am still wall mounting the plasma), and it should look pretty good for my setup. It was heavy as hell bc it is metal and tempered glass.

My monoprice wall mount should be here tomorrow.....el yay!

Bell'O. The shelves support 50 lbs. I have my Onkyo 805 on it and so far so good. (AT-423T)
