Average lifespan of an LCD TV

In an recent consume reports, it states that most LCD tv's have a lifespan of 10 years given average use.

My Question is...What do you think they consider Average Use?

Considering it is Consumer Reports, I have no idea.

IMHO most of these newer technologies are fine, people will want to buy a new one long before one has reached its "lifespan".
