Gamers - LCD or Plasma
I want to get a sub $1k LCD or Plasma to stick in my bonus room to replace my old 24" CRT. It will mostly be used for Video Games. Is LCD still better for Video Games or does it really matter. I know about burn in, etc. Thanks!

Projector. Course, that's my answer for almost every TV question.
I suppose I would try for an LCD in the small screen world. Does this include a PC for games?

Other than blurred vision and loss of muscle tone, right Brian?
bmello,
Then probably a 720p model since mostly those games are 480-720. No sense in spending more in this case.

Just wondering....did the people who said that own a projector?

I am sooooooo happy to be back to the projector for gaming again. And yes, that includes oldschool games.
Weaknesses with projectors and games:
Anything less than s-video tends to look pretty painful (dot crawl, chroma bleeding, etc).
Early 3D games can look pretty bad. Final Fantasy VII for example.
Everything else looks spectacular.
The answer to the original question: plasma, unless you have a lot of uncontrolled light, or you want to use it as a PC monitor. Then LCD is probably the better choice. The burn-in risk is overrated. Unless you are going to be playing Atari 2600 games on it
