DVR Question
I've finally caught myself up to technology and got a DVR from Comcast ---
I've been having some problems and wondering if these are normal with DVR units or I should exchange it for another one--
When I fast-forward through portions, often, the video starts to play for 30 seconds or so and then audio catches up--therefore, the entire thing is out of sync, however, if I rewind and go back to a commercial--and allow it to catch up during that part--the video and audio are in sync. Is this normal? I didn't even realize the audio and video was captured on separate tracks on the DVR.
(I'd love an explanation on how DVR captures..)
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks !

Cable DVRs in general have various weird issues like this.
Do you have a "Instant Replay"-type button? Something that only skips back about 3 seconds? I've seen this correct sync issues and it's quicker to use.
