It says I have 90 days to return unit if there is a problem. That is still legal right?

So what happens if it just stops working after 100 days, what do you just get rid of something you paid $600-700 for 3 months previously? That is why i'll wait till there is a winner in the format war and when these systems dont have these kinds of problem, if it takes 2-3 years so be it.
