Upgrading to DirecTV HD question
I've been a "full package" DirecTV subscriber for 5 years and want to switch to HD.
Are there any deals that can be worked to avoid paying 300.00 for the HD DVR?

Get to the Retention department on a phone call. Usually by saying you want to cancel service to the automated phone menu. Then politely tell them you are a great customer and it would be a shame to lose you over a simple upgrade and you want it free. Keep trying, this has worked for many. Not me, yet.
