Finally decided on a tv

Anyone know if there is a new model coming out soon? Just curious if the price will drop anytime soon or I should just go ahead and buy.

HEY! that's my TV. I don't think a new model is due out... go ahead and buy it... I absolutely love it, remember to upgrade your firmware when you get it. When the time comes, PM me and I'll show you how and share with you my picture settings that I've come to like best.

no, it fixes an annoying bug... the tv comes with three pre-set viewing modes.. "Dynamic", "Standard" and "Movie"... if you don't upgrade your firmware, whenever you change inputs, it will always revert to "Dynamic" which may not be your viewing preference. Firmware v1026 fixes this problem... my set came with v1023... it is a very easy fix, a free download, into a cheapo 15 dollar flashdrive and voila, fixed in like 2 minutes... it should not deter you from purchasing this great set.

That's my set, too. Bought it after a ton of research, and we've been nothing but happy with it.

The LED light engine should last just about forever (without dimming), and it sucks down just a fraction of the power used by similar-sized Plasma/traditional DLP sets.

That's the TV I've been looking at. Passed up an opportunity to get it for $1887 last week because I (mostly my wife) just wasn't ready.

Can't get it for that price right now. I'm now considering the 61" but the price is still too high on that one too. I can wait.

I have a 56" DLP(not LED) Samsung HLS 5688W that I got from Crutchfield scratch and dent for $1200 but if you want LED you may also want look here, still a full warranty

my TV has a couple of very small scratches on the top on the black that's around the screen but you have to look really closely to see them , the screen itself and everything else is perfect

FREE shipping too
