I am not sure there are many differences between Logitech speakers. Perhaps just go to a store and buy whatever fits your budget.

I too have a set of Z-5500s. Nice set of speakers. Especially with the decoder capability built into the control station.
I know the Klipsch Pro Media 2.1's are fantastic, but I cannot speak to their 5.1 offerings.

Z-5500 is pretty badass for its price. I've heard bad words about its optical connection but who cares as long as I got coaxial.
Klipsch are good too, or so I heard. It's just that it's a little bit harder to find it.

I've been looking around for some speakers for my PC/HDTV setup. My current speakers 5.1 altec lansing sound ok but lacks a wireless remote.
So after looking around the Logitech's Z-5500 seems to be a pretty good option. The Z-5300e seems to be also good but lacks wireless controls. I plan to use the 5500 with my 550 universal remote.

Just bought the z-5500. This thing is huge and heavy. Going to buy some speaker stands from monoprice. I'm not sure where I'm going to stick the table or is that sub woofer.

Table? Dude, you better not ever upgrade if that's too much. My sub is about 9" taller than my coffee table. And it's kinda heavy, too.
(and it's on clearance, great deal right now, $200 off)

Yeah, the Z-5500 is the newer version of the Z-680, which I've been rocking for a couple of years in my budget HT. I just thought the wireless aspect of the Z-5450s was pretty cool.
