Looking for DVD Recorder that I can edit

Subscribe
Hey everybody,

I'm open to any suggestions on DVD Recorders that allow a person to insert the chapters when they prefer, can pause to edit out unwanted material, and allow the person more options in editing for -R/+R/+RW disks. I hope this makes sense.

I have tried a Sony DVD Recorder and discovered that they will not let you edit out any material by using the pause button like editing out commericals from TV shows.

I currently have a Panasonic DVD Recorder and also not impressed with not being able to insert chapters where I would prefer when using -R/+R/+RW. The only one they allow to do major editing is with RAM disks. I'm not impressed with RAM disks since they do not seem to play in regular DVD players.

Any advice would be quite appreciated.

Thanks,
DJL

Any recorder with a hard drive should let you do all the editing you want.

I own the Panny DMR-EH50 that will do everything you need. It rocks. Paid about $300 for it a year ago.

X,

Thanks for your advice man. I found this one from a catalogue and discovered that Walmart sells it. What do you think of it?

I don't know anything about that Philips but it seems nice in that it can record either + or - DVDs and the hard drive is a good size. There should be several choices around that price range.

Pioneer, Panasonic, maybe Toshiba tend to be the big names in DVD recorders.
