It looked really cool, I'm getting ideas for when we buy a house. I've gotten my wife to commit to giving me a theater room, and this episode helped!

I just watched it. I thought they did a really great job, and I especially loved the DVD storage. Like another poster, I think at some point I'll be stealing that idea as well. I wasn't sure about the blue at first but when I saw it all together I thought it looked great. Congrats! Looking forward to seeing how it looks with the theater seats... a room like that definitely needs more than just 2 seats!
Where are your surround speakers mounted?

Hey Guys,
Thanks for all the congrats. Let me answer a couple of question posted above:
1. They actually didn't figure a place for the componants at all. They were oblivious. For the show, all the componants were placed in the connecting den and connected to the projector from there. Pretty ghetto. Since then I bought one of those old Kenwood stereo componant racks off Craigslist. You know, the ones with the place for the turntable at the top. Everything fits snugly in there and then I draped a velvet curtain scrap over the top. I'll post pictures. Not the best solution, but better than it was.
2. The rear speakers are mounted in the back of the room on stands. I built a six foot galvenized pipe and plywood stand, painted it to match the walls, and wrapped it in velvet curtain scraps. The speaker sits on top, also cover in velvet. The other speaker sits on a mini stand on top of the componants rack. They blend in pretty well, but once again, I hope to find a better solution down the line. The show didn't account for this either.
3. The velvet curtains were purchased in downtown Los Angeles. I don't know the pricing. The show scored all these.
4. Still waiting for the halfpipe in the backyard
5. The pics I have suck. I'm going to take a couple better ones tonight. I'll post them then.
Once again, thanks for watching guys. It was a really fun time, and I'm completely stoked.
