PQ between LCD and RP LCD

I am in the market for a HDTV. I want to go 1080P. One of my main uses will be as a computer monitor. What is the difference in picture quality between LCD and rear projection LCD? I am a noob when it comes to HDTV's for the most part and appreciate the help.
Haven't been here in a while and not sure if this is the right forum, if it is wrong please move mods.

Should be about the same. Projection will be dimmer, but that's probably a good thing. Most people have their TVs set way too bright for their eyes. Also, projection will have a poorer viewing angle. Esp watch out for vertical viewing angle; sometimes if you stand near an RPTV, you are too close, your eyes too high up to get a good view. That may affect you at home, as well.

Other than that, differences are going to be more on the particular model and brand than on which form of LCD tech is used.
