I am looking for a pair of matching audio cabinets to sit on either side of my TV. Obviously they need to be able to fit my electronics, but I am also looking for them to be at least 60" tall.

I would also prefer a cherry, or a medium to dark brown in color, and obviously the cheaper the better.

Any help would be appreciated. I am having trouble finding what I want.

what type of equipment do you have? do you have a 40lb receiver because cheaper wont be better.

what is your budget? some people thin that $100 for each is cheap, others think $250, some think $500 each.

I got this one for my bedroom to match the furniture we already had. Sounds like it is a bit short for what you want, but it's great. I'm pretty sure the door is reversible so you could have that symmetry.

Not to knock your purchase, but does that meet the traditional bush standard?

I don't know how to take that other than a knock. As I said, it suffices for my needs and was about what I wanted to spend.

Well I like the look of some of the newer Bush products, but everything I've had of theirs in the past is not that sturdy/long lasting because it's particle board with some sort of laminant.

I'd be happy to hear they have a higher end line (that seems pricey for a small cabinet from Bush) that has overcome some of their older practices.

It's pretty solid. I have a my cable box/dvr, denon receiver, denon upconverting dvd player, and sony 5-disc in there and a keyboard/mouse on top for my HTPC and it's great.

But, more importantly, it matches the finish and style of our other bedroom furniture. I don't regret it at all, but I did take a long time before I settled on it. I couldn't find it locally to inspect before I purchased, which I normally try to do.

Before i got my DLP. It was quite sturdy and thick. I had my receiver on a shelf, my loaded 400 CD changer on another. At one point somehow (while moving it) the back of one of the shelves came out of the holders and the glass still help up my receiver using only the front of the glass!

It is pretty deep too, which is what I was looking for to hold my changer.

I bought a Bush cabinet from Fortunoff for $500 on sale from $600. I was surprised at the price at first but it was mostly solid wood and glass. the only veneers were the side styles.

my receiver is on the bottom shelf since it is almost 40 pounds.
