I gotta say, these things are great... range is suposedly limited, but if you need something on the cheap, that will allow you to keep your cabinet doors shut, then this is the unit for you.

I've got a set of these. Line-of-sight wise, the IR reader is a little spotty... but by and large it's a nice cheap fix for a lot of HT problems.

You can see the one transmitter unit on the left side of my (substandard) television. It works great for keeping the rest of the components in the cabinets underneath so that I can keep the doors shut at all times...
