Standalone DVD Recorder question

I'm looking to pick up a standalone DVD recorder to primarily be able to offload the occasional item from my TIVO, or to copy some old "home movies" from VHS.

I'm not really looking to drop more than $200 if possible, and I happened to see the Toshiba Progressive-Scan DVD-R/-RW Recorder D-RW2 for $116 at BB.

Does anyone have direct experience with this model, or can anyone give me pointers on what I should be looking for when selecting a standalone DVD recorder?

thx

Really like my Panasonic ES-10. Cost me $200. There've been a couple new models since then in the same price range, similar model numbers.
