Sony DVD player without zoom feature?

Now really, how difficult is it to have this feature on a new dvd player? Every dvd player I've had, going back 8 years, have all had this, even the cheapie JVC I have on another tv. My Insignia player died, store had none left, so I had to upgrade to what I thought was a better system. Never occurred to me to check for zoom feature. I thought that was a given with All players. I looked through the entire booklet, checked every button, went online, no secret button. It's just not there. How cheap could this company be? It has other useless features, but not this. I never realized how much I missed this, till it's gone!

I don't think any of my Sony players have Zoom. Not sure why I would need it?

Just watch your porn on the computer, you can zoom as far as you want.

I hear you BrassyL, its just nice to know that when you pay a good amount of money for something you get all the bells and whistles.

Uh gee thanks SPIKEY

But I could give a shit about porn, I like the zoom feature when I want to freeze a frame to see stuff in the background or scan printed stuff they flash for a nanosecond on screen. The thought of seeing people's personal bits enlarged on screen is somewhat nauseating. Sometimes the prop department puts funny stuff in filmed newsprint articles, etc. Got to read all the news articles for the Ring that way. Someone put a lot of time to set up all those fake stories, right down to the last paragraph. May sound stupid to you guys, but I like that little feature, I'm not obessive about, but sometimes you just go "what the hell did that say"? I don't have a tv the size of an entire wall, so give me a break. And like I said I have a cheap $60 JVC with this feature and a $300 one without it, makes no sense.
