Just got HDTV DLP and OPPO DVD player - Cable recommendations?
I just brought a Samsung 56" DLP HDTV, and have a multi-regional oppo DVD player.
I'm a total rookie when it comes to this sort of thing, and was wondering the best way to connect these 2 together. I peaked at some cables on amazon which were monster cables priced at $95 (i know you can find them cheaper elsewhere).
Can someone enlighten me as to the best way to set these up?

With the Oppo, you HAVE to use the DVI-out (there is zero processing done over component). So, if your TV comes with HDMI (I would guess it does), you need a DVI-D to HDMI cable.
Monoprice.com is generally considered the best bang-for-buck. Cheap, cheap prices and very good quality. I use them for all my cables and have yet to be even slightly disappointed.
EDIT - If you ordered the player directly from Oppo, they should have shipped you the correct cable. This is the cable you need, if you want to go from monoprice (though you will likely need a different length, this one is 6'): http://www.monoprice.com/products/pr...ormat=2&style=

Another vote for monoprice. I'm one of "those" cable people who believes in high-quality cable (I have $600 MIT speaker cable), but I think Monoprice is great for most applications. I bought a 33 foot DVI->HDMI cable to run from my cable box in my living room to my LCD in my bedroom and it works great. Definitely save your money.
