L.F.E question

I have a sony receiver and trying to get more bass from it. I started playing with the levels and i don't know if you set the LFE to 0 for more bass or -20 or off. Can anyone help?

You probably need to get a better sub.

Spiky did not give his usual good answer!

What he is trying to say is that boosting the LFE is not going to give you "better" bass. As a matter of fact the LFE channel needs to be calibrated just the same as the other channels. If you are not happy with the quality then you need to look at the size of the room, how loud you like your movies and even what kind of sub it is.

What receiver are you using? More importantly, what speakers and sub are you using? As Spiky alluded to, you may already be pushing the limits of your system.

Yeah, you need some specs....how are your speakers wired? Some people run them through the sub, others don't. Benefits for both ways.
