Hook Up Help!!!
I just bought a Panasonic DMR-ES20 dvd recorder and hooked it up to an already running Sony surround. I also added a Sima CT-200 GoDvd into the mix.
I thought I had everything hooked up right until I ran a test disk. The picture was perfect but there was no sound. I finally figured out that the DMR will not put out sound if the Sony is "on".
I tried playing the Sony-perfect. I also tried the VCR-perfect.
The DMR does not have sound no matter what while the Sony is on.
Is it a hook up problem?
Any ideas on how I can copy my dvd/vhs library to disk with sound??
Thanks In Advance!
Bill

Looks like you missed typing a word up there that might help. "hooked it up to an already running Sony surround". An what?
Maybe you just didn't get the audio hooked up. I think you have to give a little more detail on what wires you have run, then I'm sure someone can figure out what is missing.
