Need Help Wiring Basement!!!

I plan on wiring my basement within the next couple weeks and I was wondering what do most people use for a guide (ie pipe or hose) to run the speaker cables through? Any suggestions or links would be helpful. Thanks

Kyle

Wiring in the wall or out side of it? I did inside when I finished out part of our basement. I didn't run the wires in anything though, they're just secured to the studs.

Plan, plan & plan!

Good luck!

Didn't seem worth starting a new thread, so dug up an old one.

I need to run a HDMI for my PJ that is on the way. I really don't want to install another box in the ceiling so I thought about going thru the box I have for the power cord. Here is a pic.

Any harm in running the HDMI right next to the power cord at that opening? Up in the attic and down the wall it will be seperate, just at that opening that will be very, very close.

It seems that the guys over at AVS recommend 12-16 inches, which matches reasonably well with the rule of thumb I had heard long ago about putting signal and power on individual studs.

With that said, with my projector I've got VGA and power running together for about three feet without any problems.
