Audio thru a DVI -> HDMI cable?

Currently I have my HD receiver using my one and only DVI port. I want to pick up a OPPO DVD player, but it doesnt have HDMI output. If I get a DVI -> HDMI adapters for the OPPO player would I be able to get audio through my TV from that cable? I dont have a receiver in my room so through the TV is my only option.

Thanks for any info.

Audio doesn't come out of DVI.

There are DVI cables/systems that can do audio, called DVI-I with 4 extra pins in the cable. But they are never used for audio in the HT world, even if the 4 pins are there. I'm not really sure what can use this, perhaps certain video cards and monitors or some proprietary systems.
