I recently have been looking at something to play back captured HD material, and was wondering if anyone had this player and can answer some questions about it.

1. Does it read dual layer DVD-R discs?
2. Does it read .ts or mpeg-hd files off of discs?
3. Can you hook up an external hard drive to it to play back material?

I'd like to know these questions in advance, and get some general feedback about it since I don't want to drop $249 on it.
