tv projector?

what do u guys think about this thing?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...203541582&rd=1

i know u get what u pay for. and for $20 i don't expect it to be like a projector (or anywhere even close), but if it works reasonably well...

thanks!

Without even looking at the link I would say no. Try binoculars instead

Here's the thing I love from the eBay posting:

Will the image be inverted left to right?

Yes, image will be reversed. But there are actually many ways you could revert the image back to normal. Firstly you could open the TV up and invert the wires that way. You could also place a small mirror 45 degrees to the opening of the projector. Also if you are using your computer monitor as the picture source, then you are able to find software that will easily revert the picture.
Great idea. Tell J6P to open up their TV and just invert some wires. Not like that's dangerous or anything!

apparently it's just some shitty magnifying glass that you attach to the end of a projector.

No, it's a magnifying glass you attach to the end of a cardboard box and stick on your upside-down TV. And it only works in a super dark room, and the edges may incur some significant blurring. But it makes a great conversation piece!

I remember my brother ordering one of these things for $15 back in the early 80's. Only remember using it with the 13" b&w Tv however.

Picture wasn't great but I remember how cool it was to watch Duck Soup at about 40".

Funny thing was that years later I remember walking through Macy's and seeing a more elaborate version of the same thing for sale for about $100. Same crappy image but it was a cheap way to get a big picture.
