Wiring a new house?

My parents are building a new house and have asked me for some recommendations on how to wire everything. I don't mean from component to component, but between rooms, junction boxes, etc. This would be to distribute video, audio, and broadband at a minimum. Could someone point me to a good site that talks about the latest standards and what they are capable of? Thanks!

Well since they are building they should consult the electrician for wiring to code. Also they need to plan what they want and where they want it. A piece of advice from when I built my theater, run more cable than you think you need, for everything you can think of. Take digital pictures of wire locations in rooms. Once the walls are up is not the time to remember something.

Try this site for some ideas
