philips 642 4x upsampling feature, where?

For those who own this model, you will recall that on top of this dvd player box it indicated a 4x video upsampling which is one of the philips feature. When I bought this player and started looking at the manual, I can't seem to find this feature listed there so I don't know if this player automatically does a 4x video upsampling that makes the video look better or do you have to turn it on somewhere in the menu?

From what I gather, it's on by default and can't be turned off or altered. I probably doesn't improve the picture on commercial DVDs all that much, but I can tell you that AVIs and 'archived' DVDs compressed down to single layer look fabulous, and it's this feature that does it.

It does have 4x upsampling, and it is hardwired in like Mike said.
