Fleshtone problems need help.
Hi, I am kind of new at this excuse me if I missed anything.
Here is my setup I have a digital cable box Explorer 4200 connected through s-video (since it doesn't have component outputs) to my Go-video dvr model #R6750 to my Tv Mitsubishi WT-46807 which is hooked up using component cables.
My problem is when ever I watch something on the DVR input if there are any faces in shadow I get weird fleshtone problems. Example would be someones face in shadow looking grey with little bits of pink flesh peeking through. It looks awful. Can anyone suggest something I could do ?
BTW I have already checked to make sure the cables are in correct.
I would appreciate any help, thank you.

And it looks normal if it does not go through the DVR??? Maybe there is something wrong with the DVR???
Try turning down the color setting by 3 or 4 and see if it helps, without taking away vibrance from other colors. You could also try and adjust the tint, maybe it is too far on the red side.
And check out the DVR, it might have color controls seperate from your tv.

Yes it looks normal if something not recored on the DVR is not playing. I checked to see if it had color controls but it doesn't. I also tried adjusting the color on the tv and no luck.
thanks for your feedback.

thanks for your help.
