Doesn't do me much good but thanks for the info anyway. At least its a start. HDMI is very new, I would expect more recorders to have it by the end of the year. Maybe they won't be too expensive.
The only AV receiver I've seen with HDMI in/out is that Denon AVR-5805 ($6,000)
