Calibrating my AKai flatscreen

Suggestions needed on where to buy those dvds that calibrate your TV. Which ones are the best to get?Does your TV make matter.?Does it help video games also? Are there different ones for video games? Can I use an XBOX Instead of a DVD player for the calibration?

I have a 27" Akai (which is the same as Samsung) Flat screen TV.

TIA

If you use an XBOX to calibrate your TV it will only be calibrated for that particular device. If you hook up a DVD player you'll have to recalibrate. The signal levels are different for different devices.

True, but in my experience it's close enough to not make a huge difference. Besides, he's probably playing DVD's using the XBox anyway.

Yea, i use my xbox to watch dvds, so the calibration will improve my video games, dvds (both on AV1) and my cable stations (on AV2)?
