Progressive Scan?

To use a progressive scan, all you need is a tv that has a component input. Is that correct?

This is a good question that I'v been wondering about for some time. I have a 32" TV with component inputs, but it's not HD. Would a progressive scan DVD player offer something above what my current non-progressive scan would?

No. You need a digital TV (HDTV) to enjoy the benefits of progressive scan.

The TV must have progressive scan input, e.q. 480p, etc.

Thanks guys. I was always under the impression that all you needed for progressive scan to work was component inputs.
