I would go with the 770, great system for the $ (even many higher priced systems don't match its power and sound) I don't know much about those velodynes, but the Onkyo I can vouch for.

They make decent subs, but I honestly don't know a thing about their speakers. And I couldn't find any reviews on the internet about this system.
It's cheap - you could always give it a shot and if you don't like it, sell it on fleabay.
