DVD Player Random pixilation

Recently I have been noticing about 1 or 2 times during a movie I will get a brief (1-2 sec) period of pixilation. If I rewind the disc I can not reproduce the problem at the same spot. This leads me to believe that it is the player’s problem and not the discs. It seems to happen later in the DVDs. What could the problem be? DVD playing is going? (3years old), needs a cleaning?

Thanks

DVD player is a panny rp-56

Possibly any or all of the above.

Sounds like the tracking is off. Could be because of dirt or vibration. Also check to be sure all of your cables are tight. I have seen picture break up like this due to poor seated cables.
