Dubbing VHS tape to DVD

I have a body of work on VHS tape that I would like to transfer to DVD. Any recommendations on which DVD recorders to purchase?

Several questions:

What is your budget?

Is this the only item you need to transfer or do you have other items as well?

Do you need to edit the video(s) before transfer?

Do you want a stand alone DVD recorder, one with VHS & DVD or a computer drive?

A bit more detail will allow us to make a proper recommendation!

Welcome to the forum!

The work I have is for archival storage purposes. I do not require editing capability. Would like to be able to view films via some sort of playback device.

Does this clarify my inquiry enough?
