Third party Dish Network receivers available?
Hi,
I was thinking of getting Dish Network. I know with DirecTv you can buy third party receivers from Sony, Samsung and the like.
Are there third party receivers for Dish Network? It's a dumb reason, but the reason I want a third party receiver is: I don't like the look of the Dish Network recievers.

If I am not mistaking, I saw a Sony receiver on my brother-in-laws TV and I know for a fact that he has Dish Network.

Dish network products are all their own. Sony makes Direct TV receivers.

I guess that settles it. Thanks for help. Man, those Dish receivers are ugly. Maybe I'll decide to pay extra for DirecTv.

I would choose a satellite tv package based on cost and programming options not the way the equipment looked.
Good luck!
