Wanna hook up DVD to receiver for DVD Audio. Need some cables

I need six RCA plugs about 6 feet (2 meters) to hook up the DVD Audio.

I went by the stereo store and they had some good ones, but they were $32 for two plugs. I'm not spending over $100 to hook it up.

I only have four DVD Audio discs at this time so it's a bit too much. Are the cheapies that come w/players good enough for this application?

He said the ones they were selling were braided so there would be no distortion/noise from the cables.

Brand, cost, purchase site?

Thanks

I like Acoustic Research (look for the big AR on the packaging) for inexpensive but well-made cables. You should be able to find them at Best Buy.

These are what I use:

16.99 per pair (AR Pro series)

Or for a little cheaper route:

12.99 per pair (AR Performance series)

I would also suggest checking out Radio Shack. They sell decent cables cheap. It sounds like this is just kind of a sideline interest, or in the 'cool to have' kinda category and you don't want to spend a bunch of dough. Being a cheap assed bastard myself I'd go with Radio Shack, and if it's something I wanted to delve into deeper maybe then I'd buy some more expensive cables.

Another vote for Acoustic Research... even though Radio Shack isn't too shabby.

I use AR's for my system and I think they perform great for a nice price. The Best Buy link that taa455 has are the ones I use. I also use AR's for my video component cables and the sub.

I would buy these cables from Blue Jeans. A bit expensive but well worth the price.

You cant beat the price to performance ratio of the Blue Jeans cables. They are top quality, very heavy cables with excellent commercial quality connectors. They are also extremely quick to ship less than two days from order to delivery is average for me. I bought the 6 channel ones for my SACD player. I also have 3 of their component two of the digitial coax. They are awesome.
